In this new role, Buchanan is responsible for developing an overall philanthropic and marketing strategy that will drive profitability, brand consistency, and overall market growth. She will provide visionary, strategic leadership to build strong relationships with the goal of generating charitable contributions to support MFRG-ICON's current and future goals. She will work closely with the Director of Corporate Strategy to develop and update new or existing charitable giving opportunities nationwide.

Buchanan is an active member of the event industry and believes in giving back to the community and industry through volunteering, fundraising, creating standards of excellence, and raising the bar of professionalism. As an avid volunteer, she dedicates her free time to the LGBTQ+ community, youth music instruction, in addition to assisting with special events for nonprofit organizations.

Buchanan earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Native American studies from the University of Oklahoma.
