Michael Kent announced the formation of MJK Oil and Gas Properties, a new company based on a partnership with Acierto Resources Company LLC. Michael Kent, a professional land man, has partnered with Acierto, a low cost operator with expertise in exploiting existing mature assets.

“MJK Oil and Gas Properties was formed to combine the networks of each of the principles while leveraging current prospects to acquire oil and gas properties,” explains Kent. “This will increase and strengthen our competitive edge in terms of property acquisitions.”

Michael Kent has over 34 years of experience in the oil and gas business, including 28 years as a land man with Shell and ConocoPhillips primarily in the Eagle Ford, Permian and Lobo areas. Byron Yeatman and Michael Gibson - co-founders of Acierto Resources Company, LLC, both have over thirty years of experience in the oil and gas industry on the engineering and geology side of the business.

Acierto Resources Company, LLC is known for their ability to simultaneously cut costs while increasing production. Kent’s experience in land management combined with equally extensive knowledge of his new partners in oil and gas well operations “will deliver results for MJK Oil and Gas Properties and their clients," Kent said. “Results, that we, while operating separately, could not have provided," says Kent.

With all the commercial decisions made only by the three principle partners, MJK Oil and Gas Properties will have the ability to move quickly when it comes to key decision making on acquisitions and sales.
