Michigan Connections Academy Celebrates 10 Years of Success
Michigan Connections Academy (MICA), a public, tuition-free online school, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this school year. Today, more than 1,600 students from across the state are enrolled at Michigan Connections Academy as families seek to take advantage of the school's commitment to individualized learning and increased parent engagement.

Today, more than 1,600 students from across the state are enrolled at Michigan Connections Academy as families seek to take advantage of the school's commitment to individualized learning and increased parent engagement.
A decade after opening, Michigan Connections Academy's enrollment has grown by approximately 300%, with students in grades K-12 able to log-in from wherever there is an Internet connection – whether that's the comfort of their bedroom or the local coffee shop. This past June, more than 120 students graduated from Michigan Connections Academy.
"As education continues to evolve, what all educators recognize is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning," said Bryan Klochack, Michigan Connections Academy's superintendent and lead administrator since the school's inception. "Online learning has increased in popularity here in Michigan and across the country over the past decade as parents seek the appropriate learning environment for their children.
