LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Melvin C Johnson, a middle school teacher, recently released the novel "The McKinnens" to help people understand how Jim Crow affected all those involved. Johnson explains more in this YouTube Video.
The book is set in the Jim Crow South. It explores the curiosity of Molly McKinnen, who is determined to uncover the real reason and necessity for the divisive system of Jim Crowism. We are also introduced to Kevin Crow, who is relentless in ensuring that Molly understands and accepts the oppressive status quo. We are served a juicy plot of exciting events, including the strange tragedies that the McKinnens experienced.
The story teaches readers how they can find a sense of togetherness with everyone and try to understand people's life issues. Johnson also wants to eliminate the one-sided view on some issues in history and help people grasp that they should try and learn more about other people's life stories and seek to grow from this experience.
Throughout the novel, we can see where the author's thought-provoking imaginative style is coming alive. He wants his readers to explore one of the most painful parts of history but not in the typical way of just retaining information. Johnson wants to take us out of our comfort zones and learn about the effects of Jim Crowism in a whole new way.
Johnson's 'The McKinnens' is connected to his second upcoming book, 'The Ecn Theory', which speaks about the human experience, being comfortable, and gaining exposure to new thought forms and learning new concepts to experience growth.
Melvin C Johnson is a father of four who loves using knowledge to empower himself and others. He has recently received his doctorate and has a passion for youth education.
'The McKinnens' was launched in December 2020 and is available on Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Walmart Online.
