SAN DIEGO, Oct. 4, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mighty Fire Breaker LLC (MFB) recently launched its patent-protected Mighty Fire Breaker® Wildfire Home and Community Defense Licensing Program to expand the availability of its Locked-n-Loaded System™ and to meet and support the new seller disclosure laws in California.
MFB trains contractors to assess and reduce wildfire risk with its Locked-n-Loaded System which uses the safest and best early fire elimination chemistry on the planet. The Locked-n-Loaded System is always ready to defend, deploys only when it's time to evacuate, and 100% safe for people, animals and the environment.
MFB has perfected its training program for contractors. It is poised to rapidly expand the program so that the Locked-n-Loaded System will now be available to homeowners and communities throughout the ten Western States. The Locked-n-Loaded System was initially launched in San Diego County and has been implemented gradually up the California coast to Sonoma County. Qualified and trained contractors can now become exclusive licensees of MFB for specified territories throughout California. MFB's first such licensee is located in the foothills of Redlands, a wildfire-threatened community.
In another major development, MFB can now provide financing plans for homeowners and other property owners so that the cost of a Locked-n-Loaded System can be amortized over a five- or ten-year period with low monthly payments. The financing option will make it affordable for any property owner to defend their home and assets from wildfires.
The licensing and financing programs are intended to support the Home Hardening Disclosure Law that went into effect on January 1, 2021, which requires sellers to complete a new home hardening disclosure (Fire Hardening and Defensible Space Advisory, FHDS) for most residential properties that are within high fire hazard zones and built before 2010.
The new MFB programs are also a game changer for insurance providers that are increasingly declining coverage in fire-threatened areas across the Western States. As drought conditions persist and water becomes less available for wildfire defense, protecting homes and obtaining affordable insurance will become more challenging. MFB believes that insurers in the Western States will eventually require homes in fire-threatened zones to be fire defended and/or they will provide discounts to property owners who install a Locked-n-Loaded System.
MFB is proactive, not reactive. "We are better at proactive wildfire defense than private, just-in-time firefighters because our program is in place and ready to defend twelve months a year," said Steve Conboy, MFB's Founder and CEO. MFB embraces the same engineering mindset used to design and retrofit buildings to protect them from other natural hazards like earthquakes – before the hazard occurs. The Mighty Fire Breaker® approach will significantly reduce losses to property and life by wildfire that would otherwise occur using reactive conventional fire prevention methods and technologies. Proactive wildfire defense is now recognized as a new, year-round industry that requires trained licensed contractors.
Trained licensed contractors are critical because there is so much more to true wildfire hardening than just buying fire retardant products from big box stores to spray around homes. MFB's Chain of Custody (CoC) also adds quality assurance to its wildfire defense system that separates MFB from fire retardants sold in big box stores. MFB documents the sequence of custody, quality control, and new location transfer including physical and electronic GPS-tracked evidence. Deploying advanced GPS-tracking and mapping techniques and GPS-tracked Locked-n-Loaded Wildfire Defense Systems for homes and entire communities will provide crucial information to firefighters and insurers.
"As consultants, we rely exclusively on General Contractors. Our team and I are so happy that we were trained by Steve Conboy, the founder of MFB, on large Locked-n-Loaded Systems on multiple jobs in San Diego, Redlands and Julian, California, including a Wolf Rescue," according to Scott Willis of Best Home Wildfire Defense, a DBA of Infinity Group Consulting in Riverside California and the first program licensee. "We believe this MFB Program is truly the best in Proactive Wildfire Defense. MFB recognizes that General Contractors are needed to recognize and remove wildfire risk. The fact that MFB uses a human and animal safe chemistry that defends the future of our environments from toxins makes its Locked-n-Loaded System all the better!"
Grigg DeWitt of Monterey, California, says, "As a retired healthcare professional, I always practiced prevention for my patient's health. That's why I love this advancement in proactive wildfire defense. We live in an area that is highly threatened by wildfires. I called my community together to listen to what Steve Conboy had to say about his fire suppression system. I knew I had to be a leader in my community to explore the technology that would protect our property from potential wildfires. Mighty Fire Breaker retrofitted all my vents and installed two Locked-n-Loaded Systems. It makes us feel like we have done all we could to embrace this new technology to reduce the risk of losing what we could never replace. We are big supporters!"
