Mike Steffel of Miner Family Winery promoted to General Manager

After almost six years with Miner Family Winery, Mike Steffel has been promoted to General Manager.

OAKVILLE, Calif., Oct. 5, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After almost six years with Miner Family Winery, Mike Steffel has been promoted to General Manager.

Mike met Dave and Emily Miner when they walked into a wine shop he was managing in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota over 20 years ago. They became fast friends and their paths continued to cross over the years when Mike was the brand manager for Wine Merchants MN and later as the general sales manager for another Minnesota distributor representing Miner.

Mike was hired by Dave in January 2017 in the role of National Sales Manager overseeing wholesale initiatives. In August of 2020, he was promoted to VP of Marketing & Sales, providing leadership for the Direct to Consumer team in addition to the wholesale department.

"I look forward to learning from and working with our winemaker Michelle Shafrir and our tenured Production Team, but it goes without saying I am honored and excited to take on the GM role at Miner Family Wines," Mike said.

Mike has been in the wine and spirits industry for over 20 years and has had the opportunity to represent several family brands and family distributors. He has worked in supplier positions with Chalone Wine Group, Domaine Serene and O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery and in distributor management at World Class Wines in addition to Wine Merchants MN.
