The FAB 40 list identifies the 40 most successful, U.S.-based metal fabricating operations, as determined by the 2018 revenue numbers and company information reported by metal fabricators. These companies earn most of their revenue from contract and custom manufacturing involving sheet metal and plate fabrication.

Miller be recognized for its outstanding achievement in Talent Management Leadership for its Internal Weld Program. The program gives Miller employees the opportunity to train to become a welder while still working in his/her existing role as a full-time employee of Miller. The award is presented by the National Association of Manufacturers' Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Council.
Last fall, the company rebranded from Miller Welding & Machine Company to Miller Fabrication Solutions. The change was made to represent the core competencies of the company better as it moved into its third generation of Miller family leadership.
