Zego, the hub for smarter apartment living, today unveiled the integration of its artificial intelligence-powered assistant, “Millie,” into its leading platform that brings together smart home devices and a mobile app to connect renters with property managers and a marketplace of products and services. Millie is based on Zego’s analysis of thousands of digital interactions between apartment residents and managers, along with direct conversations with a diverse group of property managers to better understand the day-to-day resident interactions that take place offline.

Today’s news comes on the heels of Zego’s landmark partnership with S2 Capital, in cooperation with Amazon, that brings Zego’s capabilities to 30,000 S2 apartment units over three years. To date, Zego has been implemented in over 20,000 units across 100+ multifamily communities nationwide.

Initial implementations of Millie have shown the ability to accelerate the timeliness of rent collections, reduce the amount of phone calls and emails to property managers, and drive new sources of revenue. By integrating both internal and external data sources (such as a management company’s policies & procedures, existing resident communication logs, and data from existing property management software), Millie helps property managers do everything from automate lease renewals to communicate with residents about the status of work orders to sell services from the Zego Marketplace (ie. renters insurance, electricity, moving service) and beyond.
