Minority Cyber Professionals Announce National Conference
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) May 21, 2019 -- The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP) is pleased to officially announce its 4th Annual National Conference to be held: September 16-19, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.
This year’s theme was created to stimulate discussion regarding the remaining need to instill the benefits of ‘diversity’ in the workplace, and within the growing cybersecurity industry. The theme, “Diversity du Jour – From Symbolic Gestures to Substantive Outcomes,” seeks to challenge leaders throughout industry.
“We hope that this gathering and discussion will provide insights regarding the reasons behind what is still a lack of diversity in the workplace; we seek to provide solutions and tools to help move beyond the ‘check the box’ mentality and gestures that continue in many companies around the country,” indicates ICMCP president, Aric K. Perminter.
This will be the organization’s second year in Atlanta.
