A variety of the residential country club’s programs were recognized in two categories

The magazine noted that Mirasol stood out for how it has sustained its spirit of innovation and continued to come up with fresh ideas that served their large and diverse membership.

The Country Club at Mirasol has been named to the list of Top Innovators for 2020 in by esteemed hospitality industry publication Club + Resort Business Magazine.

The magazine’s second annual awards recognized club and resort properties’ effective implementation of new ideas and concepts for amenities and operations, despite the added challenges imposed by the coronavirus outbreak. Mirasol was recognized for several different programs in two categories – Member Services and Golf Operations. The magazine noted that Mirasol stood out for how it has sustained its spirit of innovation and continued to come up with fresh ideas that served their large and diverse membership.

Special coverage was awarded in their Member Services category for the Mirasol Virtual School program, where the Club hired educators to facilitate virtual school in a safe and familiar location in the clubhouse in order to offer their youngest members a sense of structure and normalcy while schools were closed for in-person learning. Additional notable programs in this category included the Mirasol Pantry, which is an online service that allows members to purchase common items saving them a trip to the grocery store, the Random Acts of Kindness program where the team shares a variety of treats on an unexpected basis at previously undisclosed locations, end-of-the-year graduation yard signs which the team created for excited parents of preschoolers through college graduates, and complimentary car washes that staff offered to members where they solicited nearly $20,000 in donations that were put toward local restaurant gift cards for area healthcare workers.

Mirasol’s notable programs in the Golf Operations category included the introduction of a virtual end-of-season sale where members could order items online for contactless, at-home delivery which generated over $15,000 in sales in the first month, personal shopping calls via FaceTime and Zoom for members who wished to shop but were not comfortable visiting in person, and the creation of items in a new print designed with the lifestyle and iconic architecture of Mirasol in mind.
