Applications are being accepted for the 2020 Texas registration. The pageant provides scholarships opportunities as well as a platform for contestants to compete, network, build pageantry experience and learn about the diverse cultural heritage of the African Diaspora. In addition, the 2020 contestants will have the opportunity to attend an immersive seminar on personal Finance as well as on careers in the field of Information Technology a critical step in helping bridge the global gender gap in Technology. The deadline for application submission is February 1st, 2020.
The Miss Africa Texas Scholarship Pageant is the largest pageant of its kind in the Lone Star State and is open to all women of African descent between the ages of 18 and 27. The competition provides numerous networking opportunities, builds self-confidence and is an exciting experience for women striving to further their professional and academic careers. Creating strong role models in the community and making a positive impact on young African women are core values of the event. The pageant will award over $20,000 in scholarships and prizes this year. The pageant will be held on 27, 2010 at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Ave, Plano, TX 75074.

ABOUT JENNIFER ACHU TANGYIE
Jennifer Tangyie is a 14-year pageant veteran having earned several notable crowns including; Miss Cameroon USA 2005, Miss Africa United States Super Model with Style 2006, Miss Black Beauty International 2005, Miss and Photogenic 2005. She is an author, public speaker, activist and philanthropist. Jennifer is also a registered nurse, wife, proud mother of twin boys and a Christian.
