FLOWOOD, Miss., Jan. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kopis Mobile announced today that the Company's Board of Managers has appointed Joshua Lunn as its Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2022. He succeeds Hugh Middleton, who recently stepped down as CEO to serve as the company's Government Sales Executive. Lunn not only serves as the newly appointed CEO but is also a co-founder and co-owner of the Mississippi-based technology company.
Lunn founded Kopis Mobile in 2013 with several like-minded engineers and a former Navy SEAL to truly bring a Silicon Valley design methodology to government industry products. Pre-Kopis Mobile, Lunn served as the lead software designer of the TacEx system developed at Mav6, he designed cashless payment solutions for Heartland Micropayments, and he also created significant intellectual property for SmartSynch, a manufacturer of smart electricity meters.

Lunn most recently served as director of engineering at Kopis Mobile, where he managed the company's expert engineering team in its special competencies of smart device application development, systems integration, user interface/user experience, electronics design and wearables, full stack connectivity, firmware, OS development, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. In this new position, he plans to expand the company's FastForm product line into the commercial market space.

With over a decade of experience developing firmware for 8, 16, and 32-bit processors, his embedded software is currently running on hundreds of thousands of devices with expected lifetimes of greater than 20 years. He founded and sold YoogleShop, an eBay partner using advanced web scraping software written by Lunn, and has also developed several highly successful apps, including the highest-grossing app for hunters.

During Middleton's tenure, he developed the company's early branding, contributed over $900K worth of product sales, and landed one of Kopis Mobile's longest standing contracts to-date. A former Navy SEAL, he recently stepped down as CEO to have the ability to dedicate more time to his non-profit organization Patriot Point, which provides a 290-acre retreat for recovering military service members, their families, and caregivers.
