Course provides women business leaders an opportunity to deepen leadership capabilities
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MIT Sloan Executive Education is currently accepting applications for its Women's Leadership Program, a new course designed to provide women leaders the opportunity to deepen their leadership capabilities with a focus on critical mind-sets and skills essential for professional advancement. This four-day program will be conducted in person, June 20-23.
Led by MIT Sloan faculty, including Senior Lecturer Dr. Elsbeth Johnson and Associate Dean of Innovation and Inclusion Fiona E. Murray, this course is informed by the latest research on leadership, negotiation and power. Participants will leave the program with a clear plan of action for career advancement and the essential tools needed to implement it.
"We still have far too few women in leadership positions in our organizations," said Dr. Johnson. "This course will allow both current and rising female leaders to learn – from MIT faculty and from each other – how to navigate the challenges that can hold women back, so they stand more of a chance of gaining positions of power and leading more effectively."
Conducted in an energizing, supportive environment, this course is ideal for women in mid- to senior-level positions who are seeking a general management or C-suite role or are looking to pursue other opportunities that would leverage their accumulated expertise, whether technical, financial, legal, or medical. Lessons will include small group work and the opportunity for relationship building.
