New course empowers participants to harness creative solutions to significant challenges in the face of uncertainty
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MIT Sloan Executive Education announces open enrollment for 'Embracing the Unexpected: Creative Transformation Amid Rapid Change,' a unique course providing individuals and organizations the opportunity to explore the leadership mindset and gain valuable insights into the strategies required to navigate uncertainty, craft short term results that compound into long term gains, and leverage creativity as a powerful catalyst for transformation. This two-day program will be conducted in-person, October 10-11, and will include a combination of theoretical frameworks, practical case studies, interactive exercises, and hands-on applications.
Led by Ed Catmull, Pixar Co-Founder and co-author of Creativity Inc., and Hal Gregersen, senior lecturer in leadership and innovation at MIT's Sloan School of Management, this course offers a transformative learning experience that equips leaders with the knowledge to inspire others to make investments, take risks, and create sustainable value for the future of organizations. In addition to learning from Pixar, participants will learn from successful companies such as DeepMind and Patagonia, having the opportunity to dig deeper into the behind-the-scenes events that have made and continue to make an outsized impact in the world.
"In a rapidly evolving AI-driven landscape, executive leaders grapple with pursuing large-scale changes to stay ahead of the curve," said Gregersen. "This course will help them embrace the unexpected more effectively by unlocking deeper elements of their organization's creative potential and by taking the next steps in establishing a believable blueprint for change that requires a courageous shift in strategic gears and processes."
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn a certificate of course completion from MIT Sloan School of Management. Key takeaways include:
- Developing a mindset and a skillset for embracing uncertainty—including the duality and paradox that accompany transformation
- Uncovering hidden dynamics of rapid and exponential change
- Identifying and leveraging creative opportunities amid disruption
- Kickstarting productive power cycles across ecosystems
