MOBI Advances Enterprise Mobility by Increasing Program Visibility, Usability, and Control
Indianapolis, IN, (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- Today, MOBI, a leading global technology platform that empowers enterprises to centralize, comprehend, and control their entire device ecosystem, announced new cloud software features and functionalities available to all customers. MOBI’s products continue to drive and evolve the $4.56 billion MMS industry, allowing its service offering to universally and completely satisfy mobile customer needs on a global scale.
Global Capabilities
By integrating Smartling’s translation technology into MOBI’s existing global software platform, end-user console access can be offered in any desired language. This allows customers to leverage past translation memories for future projects and context clues to better serve their employees and administrators, giving them a universal solution from which they can effectively manage their entire global program.
“Software internationalization is hard, and, if it’s not done correctly, can lead to a poor user experience with broken translations,” explains Eric Sendelbach, MOBI CTO. “Traditional approaches include cumbersome manual processes where spreadsheets are exchanged, leading to decreased team velocity. MOBI’s software is translated by human translators in context with the entire page as a reference to the translator. Translations are integrated using a custom set of automated integration scripts, allowing us to provide high quality translations without compromising team speed.”
Additionally, customized software integrations now provide accurate address validation processes for end users outside of the United States, allowing shipping information to be configured accurately to its native country’s format. MOBI’s software also incorporates international carrier billing and deployment differences, making international monthly invoicing more simple and understandable. Customer software consoles are now able to display any native currency, giving each country’s program administrators visibility into an entire global program’s mobility spend.
Enhanced Reporting
MOBI’s software developers created several new console reporting features as well. By incorporating cascading direct reports and drilldown reporting capabilities into customers’ existing software solutions, program managers gain visibility into both detailed and summary views for every employee’s device and line of service. Rollup alerts were also created, giving customers’ administrators instant email delivery of summarized employee carrier spend alerts.
“We are really excited about the introduction of our enhanced cascading drilldown reporting capabilities,” explains Sendelbach. “Over the years, we have introduced many different variants to address our reporting requirements, but all of them fell short of our expectations on what we want to provide our customers. We recently cleared a large technical hurdle and I’m thrilled with the result. Now, any user with the appropriate access will be able to climb up and down their organizational ladder with amazing visibility at every level of their program.”
Other Developments:
• Automation of Initial Customer Onboarding Steps – Customers are now able to submit forms and input data directly into their software console, speeding up product rollouts and decreasing transition timeframes.
• “Near-time” Agentless Carrier Project – Customers can now view accurate and updated carrier usage data details from within the MOBI console access point without logging into separate carrier websites.
• Self-Contained Console Communications – By the end of this year, customers’ administrators and end users will be able to correspond with their MOBI support team and submit activity tickets from within their software console with a single click.
