Houston, Texas (PRWEB) March 28, 2016 -- Mobile Metrics is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 7.0 of its Torrent 6100 test system for the LTE Evolved Packet Core network, featuring support for 3GPP Voice over LTE (VoLTE) testing. Using the system, carriers and equipment manufacturers can verify that their network equipment is operating correctly under realistic traffic conditions. Detailed histograms make delay and jitter problems easy to identify, and MOS estimates make it even easier to see how the overall network is performing.
Beyond VoLTE testing, the 6100 system can be used in a similar manner to perform general functional and load testing of the LTE EPC. For example, it features support for S1-AP, S1-U, S11, S5/S8, S6a, Gx, Gn, C, E, and SGi interfaces,which span beyond LTE to SMS and 3G, seamlessly facilitating multi-technology testing.

The Torrent 6100 is ideally suited for functional and load testing of 3GPP network elements, and core networks. It can scale from a single mobile to tens of millions of mobiles, and light tests with a few bits per second to more extreme ones with hundreds of gigabits per second with links at saturation levels. It can be deployed either as a cloud based service or on conventional rackmount servers, and is based on the field proven, award winning Torrent system framework that's been in the field since 2005.
