MOBI’s Joan Schrenkel Named to TechPoint’s Tech 25 Class of 2018
INDIANAPOLIS (PRWEB) August 01, 2018 -- MOBI, a mobility management software (MMS) company, is pleased to announce that Joan Schrenkel has been named to TechPoint’s Tech 25 Class of 2018. Schrenkel currently serves as MOBI’s Director of Automation Engineering and has been with the company for nearly five years.
TechPoint established the Tech 25 Awards in 2015 as a way to recognize individuals who are critical and exceptional performers in helping grow the Indianapolis tech community but are not amongst the C-suite at their respective companies. This marks the third consecutive year that a MOBI team member has been named to the list. Past winners have included Chris Brown, Director of Product Development, in 2017 and Ian Runyon, then Director of Solutions, in 2016.
Schrenkel was nominated by MOBI’s Chief Technology Officer Eric Sendelbach for instrumental work on MOBI’s two most recent transformative initiatives including work on taking MOBI’s domestic offering global and the automation of traditionally manual services. Schrenkel’s work has been recognized by top analyst firms like Gartner. In Gartner’s 2018 Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services, MOBI achieved highest in “ability to execute” as a direct result of the new automation capabilities.
"Simply put, Joan has been instrumental in the success of MOBI’s two most transformative initiatives in the last few years: taking MOBI's domestic offering global and the automation of traditionally manual services,” said Eric Sendelbach, Chief Technology Officer at MOBI. “She also led the charge in evolving our legacy practice into something scalable, allowing us to deliver our services to customers around the world. While most people would have settled with extending the reach of MOBI’s services across the globe, Joan continues to identify areas of opportunity for automation and improvement, essentially transforming the team she managed into a brand-new tech hub within MOBI.”
“Since joining MOBI in late 2013, Joan has proven herself as not only a key team member at MOBI but as a pivotal part of the organization,” noted Sendelbach. “Joan is always the first to raise her hand for a new project and has an uncanny ability to rally a diverse group of individuals to work toward a common goal. We’re thrilled to have one of MOBI’s star employees recognized by TechPoint as a key contributor to the Indianapolis tech community.”
This year the Tech 25 Awards received a total of 62 nominations from companies throughout the Indianapolis area. A panel of independent judges selected this year’s class from three main role categories: tech product/R&D, tech sales and marketing, and tech professional services. Winners were chosen based on three main criteria including professional contributions, energy and attitude, and community commitment.
“The Tech 25 Awards are a beacon, lifting up these exceptional professionals as examples of the ‘best of the best’ who rarely receive acknowledgement despite their significant contributions both in the workplace and in the community,” said Mike Langellier, president and CEO, TechPoint.
Schrenkel will be honored and celebrated, along with the other members of the Tech 25 Class of 2018, during a special luncheon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018. This unique event will be held in conjunction with the second annual Indy Women in Tech LPGA Championship.
