More than 80% of respondents said that the ability to use the App anywhere they shop was important

MobiSave, a leading mobile couponing system that connects CPG Manufacturers directly to shoppers, has released a study recently conducted by MSW●ARS Research indicating that the ability to take advantage of money saving offers at any retailer and immediate rewards are critical to mobile coupon user adoption.

Eighteen hundred grocery shoppers who use, or expressed strong interest in using mobile coupon apps participated in a blind study where participants were asked to rank the importance of key features and rate the usability of the leading mobile receipt-scanning coupon apps.

Research indicated that:
     •    More than 80% of respondents said that the ability to use the App anywhere they shop was very or somewhat important
     •    79% said that receiving their rebate almost immediately without needing to reach a threshold or wait for a check in the mail was very or somewhat important
     •    The least significant feature was access to recipes or tips on how to use the featured products with less than 25% of responders indicating that this was very important

The study went on to conclusively confirm that relevance, 24/7 availability and lack of restrictions are table stakes for today’s mobile consumer.
