PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 01, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The lineup for Modernism Week 2019 has just gone live, and Axiom Desert House—the newly constructed, panelized prefab founders' residence and Living Lab from Turkel Design—has been announced as just one of two Featured Homes making its debut at the two-week-long festival in February. Ticketed tours and events at the home throughout the weekend of February 22nd - 24th are on sale November 1st.

Exploring the benefits of systems building in high-end design, and inspired by some of the fundamental tenets of midcentury modernism, Axiom Desert House features the Turkel Design signature post-and- beam construction and an open great room breezing out to a private courtyard. The 2,110-square-foot modern oasis offers seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, ideal for desert living and replicable across variable sites and climates.
Joel and Meelena Turkel have taken this opportunity to turn the lens on themselves as designers and clients, while teaming up with a number of high-profile partners whose innovative, efficient, and stunning products are integral to the home's profile, offering Turkel Design the opportunity to experiment with materials and finishes.

Axiom Desert House will be featured on ticketed home tours from February 22nd – 24th and will be hosting an opening cocktail party and a design salon the same weekend.
