Smith office into a Share a Smile Food Drive drop-off point, Monarch Dental is making it easier than ever for area residents to make a positive impact on the lives of their neighbors across Sebastian County. In an effort to encourage even more people to participate in the food drive, Monarch Dental will be offer anyone who donates five or more non-perishable food items a choice of one of three different discount opportunities.

Last year, the Fort Smith office hosted a food drive that resulted in 8,000 pounds of food donations. This year, the office aims to top that amount and challenged several other Monarch Dental offices across the state to beat this number, too.

Antioch for Youth and Family, an all-volunteer nonprofit effort, serves Western Arkansas with community solutions through persistence and partnerships. The Food Pantry provides over 800,000 meals in a community where one-in-five people are food insecure. Senior and Veterans Mobile Pantries deliver food to low income elderly, disabled and struggling families.
Whenever possible, fresh produce is provided at the pantry, to seniors and veterans, and to food insecure children as they leave their elementary schools. A seed-to-table farming initiative focuses on family nutrition.
