We are grateful to outstanding organizations such as Money Concepts International Inc. to help us broaden our reach to these students...IARFC Chairman and CEO H. Stephen Bailey, MRFC
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (PRWEB) October 16, 2018
The Competition is based on a fictional case narrative where the student teams craft a financial plan for a fictional family. The exercise gives the students a heads up in real world experience. “In this day and age, we need to engage the interest of the younger generation of consultants,” remarks IARFC Chairman and CEO H. Stephen Bailey, MRFC. “To do that, we are grateful to outstanding organizations such as Money Concepts International Inc. to help us broaden our reach to these students.”
Competition registrations include 13 universities with a total of 129 students representing 71 teams. From the group of initial completed plans, the IARFC will pick 6 to compete electronically with the best 3 presenters going to Nashville with their professors for the Finals. 2018 winner Victoria Albanese weighs in on her participation in the 2018 Biltmore Finals “Throughout my time at Bryant University, and during the Competition, I often wondered if I was ready for the real world. Through this Competition I was able to prove to myself I am. The process definitely helped ease any self-doubt while building confidence in my education. The hard work has paid off.”
Through Corporate Sponsorships such as Money Concepts International, Inc., the Competition continues to grow and maintain a visible giveback to a profession that the IARFC and its members feel is an important service to the public. It invests younger professionals in the IARFC overall mission - to help their clients attain financial security and independence.
“Money Concepts takes great pride in sponsoring the IARFC National Financial Plan Competition for 2019. I saw the excitement of the Competition play out in the Final presentations in April at the Biltmore and was impressed with the knowledge, maturity and poise exhibited by all three teams. The future of our Industry lies in supporting these college students in their financial services career path. I urge all of you to donate to the Plan Competition for 2019 and attend the Finals as a Competition judge in Nashville during the IARFC Annual Conference.” Barry L. Dayley, MRF C, Executive Vice President, Money Concepts International, Inc.
