Monster Energy congratulates Monster Army rider Luca Harrington on taking second place in the Men's Freeski Slopestyle at the Stoneham World Cup in Canada. In the event sanctioned by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), the 20-year-old from Wānaka, New Zealand, claimed his fourth podium finish of the season.
From February 20-22, Stoneham Mountain Resort in Quebec, Canada, hosted the penultimate FIS Freeski Slopestyle World Cup of the 2024/25 season. The world's best freeski athletes battled for World Cup ranking points and a chance to inch closer to claiming the Crystal Globe trophies at the end of the season.
In the Men's Freeski Slopestyle event, Monster Army rider Luca Harrington claimed second place. In Run 2 of the final, Harrington stoked the crowd by landing switch rightside double cork 1800 Japan, switch left double cork 1620 safety, right 270 in cork 450 out, left front swap 360 continuing 270 out, and switch left disaster 450 on to forward for 87.54 points.
On the strength of Saturday's second-place finish, Harrington now ranks sixth in the 2024/25 Men's Freeski Slopestyle rankings with 154.00 points. The Kiwi athlete also holds second place in Park & Pipe Overall rankings with 455.00 points. Saturday marked Harrington's fourth podium of the season after back-to-back Big Air wins in Kreischberg and Klagenfurt, as well as second place in Big Air in Aspen.
