Monterrey, Mexico Based Company Installs ADS-B Out Upgrades
MONTERREY, Mexico (PRWEB) April 18, 2018 -- Aerovitro, an aviation and avionics installation and modification agency headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, announced recent ADS-B Out installations on Mexican aircraft flying into U.S. airspace.
Aerovitro is an authorized Rockwell Collins dealer. The Company recently completed ADS-B Out system upgrades on a Bombardier Challenger 300 and a Learjet 60XR. Rockwell Collins TDR-94D DO-260B compliant transponders and GPS-4000S SBAS receivers were used in the installations meeting stringent worldwide ADS-B Out regulations.

The Challenger and Learjet ADS-B Out installations used CMD Flight Solution's AML STC certification, which is approved for use in Mexico. “CMD Flight Solutions became the preferred partner for this project because of their cost-effective solution to satisfy the upcoming FAA mandated requirements,” said Luis Zamudio, Technical Sales Manager of Aerovitro.
Aerovitro currently has more ADS-B Out installations scheduled, including on a Gulfstream G-200 and Falcon 2000. Details regarding these custom upgrades will become available upon project completion and certification.

‘ADS-B Out’ is an airspace mandate in the United States of America, beginning January 01, 2020. This surveillance technology in aircraft determine its position via satellite navigation and periodically broadcasts it, enabling it to be tracked. The Federal Aviation Administration is requiring all aircraft flying in “Mode C airspace” (Class A, Class B, Class C, and above 10,000’ MSL) U.S. airspace be upgraded to meet ADS-B Out compliance. Other regions around the world, including Mexico and Colombia, are also either planning on or evaluating the implementation of ADS-B Out mandates soon.
