Morgridge Family Foundation Names Tony Cohn New Director of Strategy

The Morgridge Family Foundation announced today it named Tony Cohn to the new position of Director of Strategy. Cohn will oversee the foundation’s approach to maximizing impact through its nearly 200 non-profit partners.

“We want to do even more; we want to measure and expand our impact,” said Vice President and Chief Disruptor Carrie Morgridge. “Tony’s experience, energy, and innovative thinking will help us do that. We welcome him to the team and the ground-breaking work we do.”

Most recently, Cohn was a Brand Marketing Specialist in the Smithsonian’s Office of Communication and External Affairs. He created and managed award-winning communication and programming initiatives, including the top-ranking Apple Podcast Sidedoor as well as the Pepper Robot project. Cohn’s work reached millions of in-person and digital visitors to the Smithsonian.    

“I’m honored to join this creative, committed foundation,” said Cohn. “Its work with non-profit organizations is unique and transformative in so many ways. The Morgridge family is changing the lives of thousands of individuals. I can’t wait to get started.” Cohn joined the team February 4, 2019.

Cohn was welcomed to the Foundation just five weeks prior to the opening of its new, flagship space in downtown Denver. The 9,000 square-foot facility will serve as a convener and incubator to the partners with which it collaborates.
