Mother of the Year® Nominations are Open Through November 15
Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- American Mothers Inc.® announced today it is accepting nominations for the 2015 Mother of the Year®, Young Mother of the Year and Mother of Achievement for all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Nominations are open to the public and will be accepted through November 15 at http://www.americanmothers.org/nomination-form.
2015 marks the 80th National Mother of the Year to be named by American Mothers. Each year the organization honors a Mother of the Year, Young Mother of the Year (for mothers under the age 40) and Mother of Achievement in each nominating state.
All are invited to nominate their own mothers, friends who are mothers, or simply other mothers whom they admire to be honored for extraordinary dedication to family and community. For specific requirements, please visit http://www.americanmothers.org/nomination-form.
“Mothers accomplish the extraordinary every day, but expectations for these ladies are so high that those good deeds often go unnoticed,” says Joan Braitsch, President of American Mothers. “Honoring that spirit of selflessness and sacrifice has defined our organization since 1935, and we look forward to the 80th class of honorees.”
Previous winners include women who founded international charities as well as adoptive mothers who raised underprivileged children. American Mothers was founded in 1935 by Sara Delano Roosevelt, JC Penney, and Norman Vincent Peale (as well as notable support from Mamie Eisenhower), and has honored a Mother of the Year annually.
Each state winner is a finalist for the National Mother of the Year awards, which will be announced at the annual AMI convention in Washington DC on April 23-26, 2015.
