MRHFM Raises Donations and Awareness for Mesothelioma Awareness Day September 26
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- The law firm of Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd, LLC is doing its part by spreading the word about Mesothelioma Awareness Day this year observed on Thursday, September 26. MRHFM is taking a two-fold approach to spread awareness. The first piece is an outward campaign to share information and spread knowledge about mesothelioma cancer and how it relates to asbestos exposure. Secondly, the firm will match any donation its employees make to The University of Chicago Medical Center Mesothelioma Program.
The firm plans to publish a series of infographics and images that will outline what mesothelioma is and statistics about the cancer and how it is most commonly contracted, by asbestos exposure. MRHFM will encourage others to share this information on social media outlets such as Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
“We really want to help educate people about asbestos that exists in our environment and community on a daily basis,” said Neil Maune, partner at MRHFM. “People should ask questions about the schools their children attend, the buildings in which they work and even the hospitals they may visit in their city.”
In addition, donations made by MRHFM employees for Mesothelioma Awareness Day will be 100% matched by the firm. MRHFM has decided to give the donation to The Mesothelioma Program at The University of Chicago Medical Center headed by Dr. Hedy Lee Kindler. Dr. Kindler is a top cancer researcher and leading investigator for malignant mesothelioma treatments. Her personal connection with mesothelioma and deep understanding of the patients that the cancer affects, many being exposed on the job including veterans, gives Dr. Kindler the drive to find a cure and providing patients the best care and treatment options available.
