Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services Acquired by Private Investor Group
Sonoma County, CA (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services has been acquired from Constellation Behavioral Health by a small group of private investors including current Founder & Executive Director, Scott Sowle. Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services, which operates gender-specific, substance abuse and behavioral health residential and outpatient treatment programs in northern California, had been wholly owned by Constellation Behavioral Health, which also operates Alta Mira Recovery Programs. The Muir Wood program will now operate as an independent, stand-alone program focused solely on adolescent treatment. As Muir Wood moves forward as a critical resource for the parents of adolescents struggling with addiction and complex behavioral disorders, Mr. Sowle will remain at his Executive Director post supported by his current clinical and administrative teams.
"I'm grateful for the past few years working with the team at Constellation Behavioral Health. With their support, we were able to establish Muir Wood as a nationally recognized adolescent treatment program serving local teens and their families, as well as teens from across the United States and other countries," said Scott Sowle, Executive Director of Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services.
Muir Wood recently received a conditional use permit through the Sonoma County, Permit and Resource Management Department, expanding its residential capacity at their boys campus from six beds to ten beds. “The conditional use permit allows Muir Wood to meet the significant residential treatment needs of adolescent boys, and further establishes the platform for a separate adolescent girls campus opening in 2015,” added Mr. Sowle.
