This SOC 2 Type 2 report demonstrates our continued commitment to keeping our customers compliant with regulations like PCI and HIPAA and safeguarding their data and IT infrastructure.

Multacom, the web host that makes the net work, has reaffirmed the Company’s leadership position in data center security and reliability with the successful completion of its annual SOC 2 Type 2 compliance audit. The facilities and infrastructure examination and corresponding Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Report were completed by an independent third-party auditor. The report’s findings provide assurance to all Multacom customers, especially those in regulated industries, of the quality and effectiveness of the Company’s data center operations.

Multacom provides data center colocation and dedicated server customers with the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy they require, as defined by the Trust Service Principles which drive online transactions and the exchange of sensitive information. This not only allows Multacom customers to feel confident that their data is monitored by and maintained in a highly secure environment but also enables them to demonstrate their own compliance with information control regulations.

The examination was completed with no exceptions noted by the auditors, as has been the case in each of Multacom’s prior SOC 2 Type 2 audits. Multacom’s system was found to be “fairly presented, with controls suitable to provide reasonable assurance that the applicable trust services criteria would be met, and with all controls tested operating effectively throughout the test period.”

“Businesses must adapt to evolving cyber threats and regulatory requirement by continually implementing greater IT security and availability measures,” said Kiarash Jahangiri, chief executive officer at Multacom. “This SOC 2 Type 2 report demonstrates our continued commitment to keeping our customers compliant with regulations like PCI and HIPAA and safeguarding their data and IT infrastructure. We are not only proud of our team’s efforts in achieving SOC 2 compliance annually but exceeding its rigorous requirements with no exceptions noted.”

SOC 2 is the industry standard for non-financial reporting controls placed on service organizations as they relate to the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy of their clients’ electronic data. It is based on Trust Service Principles in the areas of policies, communications, procedures, and monitoring. A SOC 2 report assesses the service organization’s design and operating effectiveness of procedures and system controls and discloses compliance concerns. While a SOC 2 Type 1 report is a snapshot of a specific point in time, SOC 2 Type 2 reports on the organization’s effectiveness over a greater length of time – generally one year.

Multacom is committed to providing all clients from small businesses to large enterprises with all the resources and IT services required to position them for success, including 100% power and network availability, around-the-clock on-site security and 24/7/365 technical support.
