Wharfedale Technologies Secures a Multi-Year Contract to Provide SAP HANA® Support Services to a Multi-Billion Dollar Renewable Energy Company in Western Canada
Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Wharfedale Technologies Inc. (WFT), a leading IT services and consulting firm, announced today it has signed a multi-year contract with a customer based in western Canada to provide technology services for production and non-production environments running the SAP HANA® platform. The customer is an electricity power generator and wholesale marketing company. It operates over 70 power plants in Canada, the United States and Australia.
Leveraging its geographic presence in multiple locations, WFT will provide management services to support the customer’s production and non-production environments running SAP HANA, 24 hours, seven days a week (24 x 7). It is expected that this service will help improve scalability, increase the operational efficiency, and reduce the cost of operating the infrastructure running SAP HANA. As part of this engagement, the firm will follow the WFT Total Quality (WTQ) process to help maintain operational efficiency and uptime, which involves the following:
• WTQ – the internal quality assurance activity occurring prior to environments transitioning and service “go lives”
• Internal/external access validation, administration accounts creation, monitoring parameters established, etc.
• WFT Support Roles & Responsibility Matrix and the Run Book, co-developed with the customer, will be key documents driving the WTQ process
