Multicultural Center of the South to Host 15th Annual Taste of Culture Fundraiser on Saturday, July 27
Tickets are now available for annual fundraiser in Bossier City, Louisiana featuring global cuisines, live entertainment, silent auction, and more.
BOSSIER CITY, La., June 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Multicultural Center of the South, a nonprofit organization with a mission to educate the general public about the rich diversity and history of Shreveport-Bossier, Northwest Louisiana, and the South, will host its annual Taste of Culture fundraiser event, 6-9 p.m., Saturday, July 27 at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel in Bossier City. Tickets for the event are $50 each and are available for purchase at http://www.MCCSouth.org.
The event will feature culinary dishes from 26 cultures that make up the diverse cultural tapestry of Shreveport-Bossier, including Native American, Creole, Asian, Hispanic, German, Cajun, Middle Eastern, Indian, African American, and more. There will be live music by The Lacour Trio, a silent auction, and more.
Established in 1999, the Multicultural Center of the South is Louisiana's only multicultural center. Located at 520 Spring Street in downtown Shreveport, the Center hosts numerous cultural exhibits, musical programs, artistic endeavors, and demonstrations that encourage visitors to cultivate an appreciation of distant lands and learn about the practices and traditions transported to this country by immigrants.
