MultiTech’s MultiConnect Conduit Breaks New Ground at Mobile World Congress
Barcelona, SPAIN (PRWEB) March 02, 2015 -- Multi-Tech Systems, Inc. a leading global manufacturer of M2M and IoT devices, today announced its newly announced MultiTech MultiConnect® Conduit™ and MultiConnect® mDots will be on display in a Smart City demonstration with wot.io, ARM and Stream Solution at Mobile World Congress, March 2-5 in Barcelona, Spain.
The demonstration highlights the MultiConnect Conduit’s unique ability to manage MultiConnect® mDots, (inexpensive radios using the new Semtech LoRa™, low power, wide area RF modulation) connected to sensors or appliances and transmit their data over any cellular network to a customer's preferred data management platform.
The Demonstration
At ARM (Hall 6 Stand 6C10) MultiTech will have its MultiConnect® mDots located inside a model car sending sensor info (including accelerometer value) to a MultiConnect® Conduit™ gateway using the Semtech LoRa™, low-power, long-range wireless access (LPWA) RF technology in the European 868MHz ISM band spectrum. The Conduit packages and sends the sensor data to Stream’s awarding winning IoT-X a Unified Acess Connectivity Enviroment (U-ACE) and its ARM’s mbed Device Server. The data is then sent to wot.io™ providers of the leading data service exchange. A Smart City visualization application developed using ThingWorx™ pulls the wot.io data to highlight not only real time events and updates sent from the demo model car, but also performance data and location history from smart vehicles and updated traffic alerts displayed on digital signage located around the UK & Ireland.
