Multitude of Festivities Kick Off Christmas Season in Duncan, the Heart of the Chisholm Trail
DUNCAN, Okla. (PRWEB) November 12, 2018 -- Make plans to attend one of Duncan's exciting holiday events this November to help kickoff the Christmas season. From Nov 17-Nov 29, you'll find numerous occasions to bring the family out for a fun-filled evening with Santa Clause pictures, shopping, and much more.
You won't want to miss the 32nd annual Holiday Stroll on Main Street Duncan. This sip-and-snack event offers customers the opportunity to kick-start the holiday shopping season with discounts, new items, and more. The Main Street merchants offer snacks and refreshments while the customers stroll from store-to-store while enjoying carolers, carriage rides, and a chance to see Santa! The Holiday Stroll will take place on November 17 from 5:00-8:00 PM on Main Street Duncan.
Who needs black Friday when you can shop grey Saturday with the 2 Hip Chicks Roadshow! Grab your friends and get all of your Christmas shopping done on Saturday, November 24 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center. With over 110 booths, you'll find a wide assortment of gift ideas for family, friends, or yourself including boutiques, jewelry, repurposed furniture, home décor, Wood work, and more. The first 25 attendees will receive a swag bag of goodies, plus all guests have the opportunity to win one of many door prizes given away every 45 minutes. Admission will be $5.00/person and 12 or under are free.
Kickoff the Christmas Season on Thursday, November 29 by spending a nostalgic evening at the Rock Island 905 Railroad Museum and the Stephens County Historical Museum in Fuqua Park. The event begins at 6:30 PM with hot chocolate and cookies provided by Edward Jones. Guests may attend the Christmas tree lighting at 7:00 PM, Christmas carols from 7:00-7:30 PM, and the lighting of the 905 Locomotive at 7:30 PM. Make plans to stick around and top the evening off by visiting Santa Clause.
