1980's English rock band The Police hit 'Roxanne' is getting a R&B makeover by songwriting company Musicbox Recording Group's (MBRG) executive producer DJ G.O.D. and Grammy award-winning songwriter S.R. Soul. Originally written by the band's lead singer and bass guitarist Gordon Sumner, better known as Sting, Roxanne tells a direct story of a “call girl" in Amsterdam’s "Redlight District" who flashes red lights to attract male interest in which the rock group encourages her not to do so. Likewise, Musicbox's rendition is expected to reflect a similar message sculpted for the new age. The new single is produced by famed R&B guitarist Kerry “2Smooth” Marshall Jr. and Mexico City's emerging producer Wicho Beatz which features on Musicbox's upcoming Love Is Love R&B EP album. Roxanne is set to be released on all digital platforms Black Friday November 27, 2020.

S.R. Soul is a Brooklyn born and raised Grammy award winning singer/songwriter who made his debut on Fox TV's THE FOUR: Battle for Stardom lighting the stage on fire, bringing host Meghan Trainor to tears with his stellar performance of the late music icon Whitney Houston's Run to You. S.R. Soul now resides in Los Angeles, California where he continues his music career.

Roxanne is the third single off of the Musicbox Love Is Love R&B project and will be available on all streaming platforms November 27, 2020.
