In this position, he will oversee and coordinate the activities of the Commercial Lines Underwriting Department, supervise assigned personnel, coordinate workflow in the department, and provide technical and supervisory support to coworkers on complex files or procedural issues.
Ulrich joined the Company in February 2004 as a commercial lines underwriter trainee and was promoted to commercial lines underwriter in February 2005. He was then promoted to commercial lines senior underwriter in May 2008. Ulrich came to Mutual Benefit Group following 17 years in the banking industry, where his last position in that field was as market manager for First Commonwealth Bank in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
Ulrich received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Susquehanna University. He has earned the Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in Underwriting (AU), and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations through the Insurance Institute of America. He currently serves as vice chair of the Huntingdon County Enterprise Zone Loan Committee and is also a past board member of the Huntingdon Rotary Club and past council member of the St. James Lutheran Church.
