My Florida Regional MLS to Offer Matrix™ in Spanish

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., Aug. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- My Florida Regional MLS (MFRMLS) announced today that its 57,000 members will soon be able to access the Matrix multiple listing platform in Spanish. "We are constantly looking for ways to create new opportunities for our brokers and agents to serve their customers," said Merri Jo Cowen, CEO of MFRMLS. "Offering Matrix in Spanish provides the opportunity for our members to enhance the buying experience for their Spanish-speaking customers."

Fueled by increased need in the marketplace for MLSs to support bilingual agents and their customers, the development and implementation processes were a collaborative effort across the industry. MFR worked closely with five other MLSs to bring forward a Spanish version of the RESO Data Dictionary, which is in the final stages of being approved by the Data Dictionary Workgroup. MFR also worked with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) consulting group for the extensive translation work that was needed for the user interface, reports and forms inside of Matrix.

For the technology piece of the service, MFRMLS turned to Matrix service provider, CoreLogic®. "It was a natural fit for us to work with our multiple listing platform provider, CoreLogic, in light of the ability of the Matrix platform to offer language translation options," said MFRMLS chief technology officer, Patrick Williamson.
