The competition featured companies providing disruptive solutions in home health who made presentations to a panel of judges and an audience of more than 100 participants in Boston, MA.
MyWoundDoctor's Chief Operating Officer, David Owen and its Manager of Clinical Services, Loretta Sullivan, RN, CWON, both presented at the competition and received the awards on behalf of the company. The audience choice award from AARP allows MyWoundDoctor to advance to a national competition at AARP later this year at The Hatchery, an AARP innovation lab that works with start-ups and investors to discover big ideas and bring them to scale to change how people live as they age. Representing the Nurse Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Northeastern University, Director Rebecca Love awarded MyWoundDoctor with the cash prize of $3000 for its 2nd Place finish.
