NACHA Enhances ISO 20022-to-ACH Mapping Guide
HERNDON, Va. (PRWEB) November 16, 2016 -- NACHA —The Electronic Payments Association® announced today that it has published an enhanced version of its https://www..nacha.org/webform/nacha%E2%80%99s-iso-20022-mapping-guide-tool [ISO 20022-to-ACH Mapping Guide __title__ ] to assist financial institutions in translating ISO 20022 payment instructions into ACH payments for their business customers. The Guide, which previously only provided information to map ISO 20022-formatted payment messages to corresponding ACH Network business credit and international transactions, now includes instructions for mapping debit and additional credit transactions, rejections and returns, as well as Same Day ACH.

ISO 20022 is the standard for financial service messaging used to describe business processes, such as payments, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an international standard-setting body. The ISO 20022-to-ACH Mapping Guide, developed in collaboration with financial institutions, corporations and industry subject matter experts, helps financial institutions support their global customers that need to execute U.S. ACH payments by outlining the mapping of ISO 20022 payment files to ACH transactions. Specifically, the enhanced Guide provides instructions on how to translate ISO messages to ACH Network business and consumer transactions – both credit and debit transactions – as well as returns and rejected items, and Same Day ACH.
