NAHN Sets the Stage for 2013 Conference
(PRWEB) July 19, 2013 -- The National Association of Hispanic Nurses will kick off its 38th Annual Conference, the foremost event uniting the nursing profession with Hispanic health challenges to identify issues, trends and solutions, on August 6 – 9, 2013, at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, LA.
Themed “Creating the Vision, Shaping the Future,” this year’s conference will inspire, ignite and impassion attendees in lively New Orleans through a weeklong program of keynotes, clinical sessions, plenaries and poster presentations, an Expo featuring the most cutting edge products and services in the nursing industry, as well as professional development and networking events.
This year’s award-winning panel of keynote speakers brings together their expertise in health care and public policy to inspire and re-energize attendees on topics of culture, medicine and technology. Join us in welcoming our keynotes, including: Henry Cruz, a patient and diabetes advocate, healthcare consultant and motivational speaker; Patti Solis Doyle, a political organizer and campaign strategist with unprecedented insight into several of the most important campaigns of the past 30 years; and Judith Aponte, an educator, scholar, researcher, and speaker.
Among a variety of networking events connecting attendees, the Annual Gala at the Conference – a masquerade ball taking place on Friday, August 9th at 6 pm – will unite attendees in celebration of the week’s festivities as well as the nursing profession itself. The gala will feature a reception, dinner, awards program, and entertainment provided by Vivaz.
