NAILBA Announces 39th Annual Meeting Will be a Virtual Experience

NAILBA 39: Engage will be a virtual experience

The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) has transitioned its 39th annual meeting to a virtual event. Registration will open on September 15 and is complimentary for the independent distribution community.

Traditionally a three-day event each November, NAILBA 39 will offer six days of individualized programming spanning from November 2020 to February 2021, in addition to two days of VIP activity for NAILBA members. This year’s theme is “Engage”—an acknowledgement of the worldwide need to execute in a time of uncertainty.

“We’re going to be a little different this year,” NAILBA CEO Dan LaBert told Katie Fehlinger on NAILBA’s ID Network video channel. “There’s going to be on-demand material, there’s going to be live material. We’re breaking the days up into what best represents NAILBA member agencies. They don’t just sell life insurance—they sell long-term care, disability insurance, annuities, senior market products. We’re also going to designate a day for technology—we want our members to come out of this fully engaged for 2021.”

The NAILBA 39: Engage schedule is as follows:

  • November 19, 2020: Life Insurance
  • November 24, 2020: Long-Term Care Insurance & AG 49A
  • December 16, 2020: Future Forward
  • December 17, 2020: A Night with NAILBA (Members Only)
  • January 13, 2021: Disability Insurance
  • January 27, 2021: Annuities
  • February 10, 2021: Insurance Innovation
  • February 24, 2021: Senior Markets & Medicare Supplement (Members Only)

Each day of public programming will include a keynote speaker or panel, to be announced on a rolling basis as the event’s late November kickoff approaches.

“Virtualizing NAILBA 39: Engage offers us far greater opportunity to impact the independent community as a whole,” said NAILBA Chairman Chad Milner. “Now, the event will be accessible to over 1,300 BGAs and more than 300,000 advisors at no cost. Each day is specifically based on our members’ top-of-mind challenges, and we’re revolutionizing the event format to allow attendees to maximize what they choose to consume.”
