NAPA, Calif., Nov. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nakedwines.com officially has a wine in a museum.
The American Museum of the House Cat, to be exact.
A special-edition 1.5L Magnum of Cattoo Cabernet Sauvignon – produced by one of the revolutionary wine company's 80 indie winemakers, Sharon Weeks – is now on display as part of the national museum's permanent collection "to honor Cattoo's recent Best Alternative Package Design, Best Series Design and People's Choice wins – and cats worldwide."
Weeks – a Paso Robles based winemaker – is thrilled. A lifelong cat and tattoo enthusiast, Sharon wanted her customer-funded wines to be "playful, unexpected, and daring" – collaborating with nakedwines.com and designers Geoff Meyer and Hayley Partridge of 4Parts Design to create the Cattoo theme and brand.
Sharon's wines have since become a runaway success with nakedwines.com. "Along with the creative nature of the brand and packaging design, the wines Sharon produces really are incredible," says Antonio Trevino, nakedwines.com's Vice President of Winemaking. "Sharon has a way of combining fun and finesse in her award-winning Central Coast wines, and our customers love her."
Now national cat lovers will have their own chance to get a peek.
"It's an honor to have Sharon's feline-friendly wine amongst our collection of articats," said Kimberly Crow, Social Media Strategist for American Museum of the House Cat. "We are honored to promote such unique (and delicious) design."
The American Museum of the House Cat is located at the Old School Antique Mall in Sylva, North Carolina. The largest feline-loving museum in America is reportedly "busier than ever," said Crow, with enthusiasts across the country taking the trek to experience and celebrate cat culture – over 15,000 visitors to-date. Admission fees from the museum benefit founder Dr. Harold Sims' no-kill shelter.
Sharon's feline wines may well be delicious works of art, but like a fine catnip, they are made to be enjoyed. Visit nakedwines.com to discover her latest releases and more wines made possible by a passionate community of wine lovers who aren't afraid of a good time.
Cattoo's design awards were announced at the 2019 Wines & Vines Packaging Design Awards in Yountville, CA. The event took place on August 9, 2019 – fittingly, following International Cat Day.
