“Scanning probe microscopy (SPM) has become the classical method of studying nanostructures and is widely used for qualitative assessment of physical and chemical propertiesand geometrical parameters of dimensions of less than a few nanometers,” comments Keibock Lee, President of Park Systems, sponsor of NanoScientific Symposiums. “NanoScientific Symposium is a unique platform to bring together the nanoscience community to showcase the latest advances in SPM and if you are not able to attend the event, the live stream will give you the opportunity to connect virtually.”
NanoScientific Symposium on SPM will be held at the Park Nanoscience Center located at SUNY Poly’s Albany NanoTech Complex, a fully-integrated research, development, prototyping, and educational facility and home to the College of Nanoscale Sciences and the College of Nanoscale Engineering and Technology Innovation and will feature headline speaker, Dr. Alain Diebold, SUNY Poly Interim Dean of the College of Nanoscale Sciences; Empire Innovation Professor of Nanoscale Science; and Executive Director, Center for Nanoscale Metrology.
The NanoScientific Symposiums on SPM covers the newest applications in 2D and other nanomaterials, polymers and composites, electronics, magnetic and photonics, semiconductor and MEMS process and applications, analytical chemistry, biology, biomedicine, geosciences and sustainable energy applications, nanoelectronics, photonics, nanomaterials and will showcase advanced AFM methods and offer a short course on Atomic Force Microscopes (AFM) with access to live AFM systems.
NanoScientific has two events scheduled in the U.S. and in Europe, and other symposiums will be held in 2019 in Houston and at the Park Nanoscience Centers in Mexico and India.
