CINCINNATI, Sept. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT) has announced the arrival of International Neonatal Therapy Week (INTW). This annual 7-day period is sponsored by the National Association of Neonatal Therapists, its Corporate Partners and others.
This week shines a well-deserved spotlight on the vital work of the world's occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech language pathologists who support infants and families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Current NANT Members receive thank-you gestures throughout the week, designed to inform, inspire, and support, as they continue their tireless efforts in the health and development of those in their care.
It's also a perfect opportunity to become a NANT Member, with special Membership offers during this 7-day window.
NANT Members and non-members alike are encouraged to generate excitement about this weeklong global celebration by downloading a free poster to hang in their NICU and sharing their support on social media. Posters are available here.
"NICU families who work with Neonatal Therapists every day have come to understand just how special these individuals are, and how transformative their work is, and this week is an ideal time to recognize and celebrate them," said Sue Ludwig, NANT President.
A special INTW article highlights a Member from Lithuania and her journey in this specialty. As Ludwig states, "We are geographically separated, but united by our mission to improve global neurodevelopmental outcomes. It's gratifying to see the way the rest of the world joins in to honor our collective contributions."
