National Association of Professional Women Announces Amy Mattinat, President of Auto Craftsman in Montpelier, VT, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Amy Mattinat is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I am passionate about educating the public, especially women, about car care so they can make informed decisions about their cars and not get taken advantage of.

NAPW honors Amy Mattinat as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the automotive industry. As the largest networking organization of professional women in the country, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 local chapters.

“I love cars and am proud to be part of the automotive industry. I am passionate about educating the public, especially women, about car care so they can make informed decisions about their cars and not get taken advantage of,” says Ms. Mattinat, President of Auto Craftsmen.

Twenty years ago, Ms. Mattinat began working as the bookkeeper at Auto Craftsmen, an independent auto repair sales and service center located in Montpelier, VT. She took every class she could find on how to run a successful automotive center. In five years she became the manager, five years later she became a partner in the business, and five years after that she bought out her partner to run the business by herself. Ms. Mattinat’s shop offers excellent customer service and has the nicest waiting room in Vermont. Throughout the year, she holds free, informative car clinics for women and supports such charitable endeavors as Brake for Breasts, Toys for Tots and the local food bank.

Awarded the Car Care Council Women's Board Top Female Shop Owner in 2012, Ms. Mattinat shares her expansive knowledge of the automotive world with larger audiences through her monthly car care newsletter and blog. She is the Author of "How to Buy A Great Used Car," and co-authored the book, "Whatever Happened to Outstanding Customer Service."

In 2014, she was elected for a three-year term as President of the Car Care Council Women’s Board, which is comprised of auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the auto care industry.

Ms. Mattinat also has a second business, BullsEye Marketing. As a marketing consultant, a successful business owner and motivational speaker, she is entertaining and humorous while delivering valuable content, real-world examples and creative, affordable solutions that any business owner can implement.
