National Association of Professional Women Inducts Amparo Gutierrez, Principal of Blue Orchid Designs, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 29, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Amparo Gutierrez as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Amparo into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Ms. Gutierrez is Principal at Blue Orchid Designs, a “full-service design firm that specializes in all aspects of residential and commercial projects.” She uses her expert skills when it comes to architecture, building and interior design. “I love to reconfigure the blueprint of any home,” she said. “The bulk of my business is kitchen and bath remodels. I love to update and transform the design of my clients’ homes—and sometimes businesses.”
A native of Los Lomas, Mexico, Ms. Gutierrez grew up in San Jose, CA. She has more than 20 years of experience as an Interior Designer, and has been a business owner for over 17 years. Ms. Gutierrez gives credit to her grandfather for inspiring her. “He designed all of his homes in Mexico City and various tropical parts of Mexico,” she said. “I remember being a young child and being in awe of the architectural beauty of our family homes.”
Ms. Gutierrez is also an in-house designer with Palm Tile. She is especially skilled at working with fabric, color and hard services, and uses technology to transform her ideas into a vision her clients can see. “I will drop the new design of my projects into Revit and SketchUp; this allows my clients to visually walk through their new design,” said Ms. Gutierrez. “I love this part because it builds up the excitement of the transformation of their home.” She has established solid relationships with many contractors, developers, manufacturers and artisans, which enable her to provide services and products of the highest quality to her clients.
A member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Ms. Gutierrez often wakes up in the middle of the night to sketch out her ideas. She is rewarded for her hard work by the excitement she sees in her clients’ eyes “as they see the transformation of their home take place.” Ms. Gutierrez hopes to one day design and build her own home from the ground up, just as she has done for many of her clients.
