Animals have always ‘stuck to me,’ so when a friend asked if I’d watch her dog and cat while she was away, I said sure. The rest just grew from word-of-mouth.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jodie A. Daher as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Jodie into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Self-motivated and results driven to succeed, Jodie Daher is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.
Ms. Daher began her career in nursing but when fibromyalgia prevented her from performing her necessary duties, she knew she needed another form of income. “Animals have always ‘stuck to me,’ so when a friend asked if I’d watch her dog and cat while she was away, I said sure,” Ms. Daher said. “The rest just grew from word-of-mouth.” Since then, Ms. Daher established her company, Hearts at Home Care Solutions, where she provides pet- and house- sitting services.
A Certified Professional Petsitter with Pet Sitters International, Ms. Daher is more than a weekend dog walker and recently became certified as a REIKI Master for both humans and animals. “I find my nursing background to be of great help in spotting anything unusual with an animal’s health/condition, as well as beneficial in teaching clients about nutrition, anatomy/ physiology and any medications their pet might require,” she said.
Always passionate about the well-being of animals, Ms. Daher is looking forward to growing her business. She supports the work of many nonprofit organizations that focus on animal rights and safety such as Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and Animals in Distress (AID), and she is a long-time member of The Humane Society.
