National Association of Professional Women Announces Kathleen F. White, LMHC, CRC, Co-Owner of Children's Therapy Solutions, Inc., a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- NAPW honors Kathleen F. White as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. White is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“Children’s Therapy Solutions, Inc. is a one-stop place for children and families,” says Ms. White, Co-Owner of the facility that provides physical and mental health services to children and adults.
Ms. White, whose areas of expertise include speech and rehabilitative therapy, says it was always her dream to help people. In 2004, she and partner Lena Thoresen, founded Children’s Therapy Solutions to do just that. The agency takes a holistic approach to helping those in need, offering multiple services including OT, PT and ST for children ages 0 to 21, as well as mental health services such as case management, mental health counseling and vocational/career counseling for families. A team of expert, caring therapists and counselors also work with local schools to provide much needed services to students.
Also important to Ms. White was to create an atmosphere where employees feel valued and ten years later, she has achieved that, as well. “Children’s Therapy Solutions is a wonderful place to work. They say happy providers make for happy consumers and we really value our employees. It’s a family environment,” she adds. So they can continue to reach out to those in need, even those individuals and families who cannot afford the proper therapy, in 2007 Ms. White and Ms. Thoresen formed Manatee Hope, Inc., a nonprofit organization governed by an independent board of directors that raises money to cover therapy services for those who need it most.
