National Association of Professional Women Announces Raquel E. McLellan, Vice President at Stop Loss Insurance Services, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

She is recognized for her leadership in insurance with this prestigious distinction. Raquel McLellan has held a variety of key roles in the insurance industry including Sales Material Coordinator with Farmer’s Insurance in Los Angeles, Marketing Assistant with Perico Life in Austin, Texas, Sales Account Executive at Excess Loss Insurance Services and, currently, VP of Sales at Stop Loss Insurance Services in Houston.
Regarding her triumphs at MedEx, Ms. McLellen explains: “In just under two years I coordinated with eight sources to generate over $3M in sold stop loss premium, while maintaining 90% retention at renewal, and working within a strict production focus on small groups.” In the fall of 2009, Stop Loss Insurance Services underwent a major restructuring, and Ms. McLellan was elevated from Sales Manager to Vice President at the age of 28.
Ms. McLellan consistently strives to be ahead of the curve in the stop loss industry, proactively advising sources of trends within the industry, and providing possible courses of action. She has achieved strong broker and carrier relationships that afford her fierce loyalty from them, and has earned their explicit trust.
