NARCAN® to be Standard Issue Equipment for K Street Group Security Officers
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, every day, more than 115 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids. The misuse of and addiction to opioids--including prescription pain relievers, heroin, and synthetic opioids such as fentanyl--is a serious national crisis that affects public health as well as social and economic welfare.

All K Street Group Officers assigned to any student youth tour group, project high school graduation event, or adolescent celebration party will commence NARCAN training in January 2019. Officers will participate in a web-based training curriculum followed by a knowledge assessment quiz before becoming eligible to administer NARCAN in a suspected emergency opioid overdose situation.
