Narconon Fresh Start Awards Community Heroes as it Celebrates Tenth Anniversary

(PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- On a warm, sunny day in September, Narconon Fresh Start took a break from the 24/7 work of drug rehab to celebrate ten years of success. On September 21st, more than a hundred people gathered at the Sunshine Summit facility run by Narconon Fresh Start, located near Warner Springs, California. Joining the staff and students at the center were graduates of the rehab program, their families, friends and neighbors and personnel from the local fire department and sheriff’s office.

As refreshments were served, those in charge of the multiple Narconon Fresh Start drug rehab facilities reminisced about the way they had arrived at this day. Executive Director Larry Trahant remembered those days decades ago when he needed the Narconon program to bring him back to his real self, the one that would rise up eventually to manage a successful network of Narconon rehab centers.

Trahant then presented Community Support awards to local citizens and agencies who have contributed in many different ways to the community. Receiving the awards were representatives from the Warner Springs Community Resource Center, the Sunshine Summit Fire Department and the Borrego Springs Sheriff’s Department.

"We could not be successful without the support and cooperation of our fine neighbors," said Larry Trahant. "We are lucky to have these heroes hard at work every day, keeping our homes safe and often, helping turn people away from substance abuse."

Representatives from the international management offices of Narconon in Los Angeles also joined Trahant, his staff, students and friends at this event. "It was with great pride that I joined Narconon Fresh Start and their neighbors at this anniversary celebration," said Clark Carr, president of Narconon International. "These are such good people. We’re so glad they welcomed Narconon into their midst."

Trahant added, "While this event celebrated our past success, we're working with our communities, friends and supporters to make the next ten years even better."
