Narconon Freedom Center Completes Intake Counselor Office Renovations
Albion, MI (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- Narconon Freedom Center Michigan just completed a renovations project for eight new Intake Counselor Offices. The center routinely handles between 400 and 800 calls a week from people requesting information about alcohol and drug addiction and the holistic drug rehab program the center delivers. The new offices increase the number of Intake Counselors the center can have on hand to help callers.
Intake Counselors answer questions ranging from: “What are the signs a child or loved one could be abusing alcohol or drugs?” “What should I do if I suspect my child is using drugs?” “What types of programs and help is available?” Counselors can also provide information on intervention services and what an intervention entails.
“With over 100 people a day dying from the prescription painkiller overdose epidemic and more from heroin, meth and other illegal street drugs, we wanted to increase our ability to help. The new offices increase the number of people we can have on the phones to answer questions and help those struggling with addiction. There is no charge for calls to intake counselors and all calls are confidential,” said Brian Kuehne, Executive Director Narconon Freedom Center.
Kuehne reports that the majority of calls are from parents (both mothers and fathers), grandparents, siblings, spouses and friends. Few of the calls are from the individuals struggling with addiction themselves.
